§ 10.5-1-4. Administration of Biloxi Ports and Harbors and the Ports and Harbors Enterprise Fund; powers, rights and duties of former Biloxi Port Commission to be exercised by the mayor and city council.

  • All of the authorities, powers, rights, duties, contracts, and leases of the former Biloxi Port Commission, and revenue generated by the former commission, provided by general law of the State of Mississippi and prior Resolution 251-04, are vested in the mayor and city council. All city ports, harbors, and the Ports and Harbors Enterprise Fund shall be managed by the Ports and Harbors Division of the Department of Administration, under the supervision and direction of a city employee to be known as the port manager, who shall be under supervision and direction of the director of administration, the chief administrative officer, and the mayor. The Ports and Harbors Enterprise Fund shall be an enterprise fund within the annual budget of the city and subject to the annual audit of the city.
